We’re helping to spread the word that, after more than ten years, the Berkeley Housing Authority (BHA) has announced the opening of the Tenant-Based (Housing Choice Voucher) waitlist. The pre-application period to be included in the random draw for placement on the waitlist is July 19 through July 26.

Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 6 a.m., through Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 5 p.m., is the pre-application period for placement in a random draw of 2,000 applicants who will be placed on BHA’s Housing Choice Voucher waitlist after the pre-application period closes. Not everyone who applies will be placed on the waitlist.

The flier below has information in English, Spanish, and Mandarin on important things like eligibility requirements (including income limits); how to apply; where you can access a computer to apply online if you do not otherwise have access to a computer, phone, or tablet; and how to submit a paper application if you cannot submit your application online.
