If you are a tenant and have concerns or issues with the fire safety of your building or unit, visit the City’s Fire Prevention page to:
- File a complaint or request a fire safety inspection. You may make an anonymous complaint if you do not wish to identify yourself.
- Learn more about the Berkeley Fire Department’s annual fire prevention inspections of multiple residential occupancies of three or more units, commercial properties, homes in Grizzly Peak or Panoramic Mitigation areas or the High or Very High Severity Zones Hill Zones, and buildings with fire escapes.
