Information about the Fair Chance Housing Impact Evaluation Study
UC Berkeley researchers from the Institute of Urban & Regional Development, Margaretta Lin, PI, and Charisma Acey, Co-PI, are conducting a study to investigate the effectiveness of Fair Chance Housing laws passed in the cities of Oakland and Berkeley, which are intended to reduce ethnic and racial disparities in access to housing for the re-entry population.
Who Can Respond to the Survey?
The research team is seeking Berkeley and Oakland property owners and property managers to take an online, 10-20 minute survey about their experiences with the Fair Chance Housing laws in Berkeley and Oakland. The survey is anonymous and individual information will be kept secure through strict adherence to UC Berkeley research standards.
How to Take the Survey
If you are a Berkeley or Oakland property owner or manager who is interested in taking the survey, please fill out this intake form. After you fill out the intake form, you will receive an individualized link to complete the survey. At the end of the survey, you will receive a $25 virtual gift card.
